BOISE 70.3 IRON MAN!!! (or 29.3)

What can I say about this greatly anticipated day?!? After months and months of training, the last few  trying to manage 2 workouts a day, the BIG day was here, I was going to be a REAL triathlete, and try to conquer a half IRON MAN.
My nerves were shot and the weather was not helping at all! 30-40 mph winds and rain turned my big day into a much smaller day. To keep it short and simple, because of safety reasons (due to weather) the race directors cut the bike portion of the event from 56 miles to 15 miles,  so disappointing. I had trained so long, and wanted so bad just to get the race off "my list".  I had no choice....I stepped into the 58 degree water at Lucky Peak, wind and rain already had me chilled to the bone, and swan the 1.2 miles in 51 minutes (not a record breaker but I was COLD) Jumped on the bike and whizzed into town, then I was off for the run. I ran the 13.1 miles in 2hr 2min. I had many family and friends come out to watch me, I am always so thankful to have their love and SUPPORT!...and of course I was smiling in all these pictures, regardless of my sadness, I knew I could KILL 29.3 miles, much easier than I could 70.3.
The BIG question now is do I go for a second try next year?!?
