All DRESSED up and nowhere to go.....

We were up at the cabin this weekend, and our good friends the Lindley's told us about the big Trunk-or-Treat they do in town every year. So we got all dressed up and loaded up to head into town for all the FUN. Well....turns out they decided to move the Halloween Trunk-or-Treat to the actual day of Halloween. (so lame, who made that silly choice :-))

So with no party and no treats the kids were SOOOO sad. Lucky for us we know one more set of super sweet Grandparents up there so we headed to their home and trick-or-treated a day early. They dumped half a bowl of candy in each of the kids bags and everyone was back to SMILING again!!!

Girls on the RUN!!!

I finished another year of coaching Girls on the Run. I love love this program and coaching this age of girls. (3rd-5th)

We always have a BLAST!

Here's just a few pics from the season.

She's a CHEERLEADER!

I am not sure if I even need to say how much Alexis LOVED cheering! You can see by the extra GREAT BIG SMILE she has on her face in EVERY picture I took of her this year. She got the great idea to cheer because her good buddy Briggs plays football, and they are each allowed a cheer squad. But Briggs' team didn't work out. So she ended up on Briggs big brother Hunters' football teams cheer squad with her good friend Hailey. This squad is no small deal in fact it is a GREAT BIG DEAL. :-) Cheer Camps, uniforms, practice 4 nights a week, games every Saturday, and a new DANCE every game.

Alexis loved, loved, LOVED it. We are so very proud of her.

Raspberry FREEZER jam. YUMMY!!!

Just a little plug for my ability to FINALLY make delicious JAM all by myself. I know that sounds silly but this Mom has no cooking/making ability what-so-ever. So a few years ago my great neighbor and friend Jeni helped (well did mostly while I watched) me make my first batch of Raspberry
Freezer Jam. My family was hooked instantly. So the next year I wanted to make some more. I thought I could do it myself but boy was I wrong. We spent a whole year trying to choke down 20 or so jars of Jam that tasted like grainy sugar mixed with raspberries. No idea what I did wrong but it was bad... So bad! So I was not going to make that mistake again, so I called on Jeni again and we ate the most delicious Jam the following year. So this year I was determined to leave the Jam Master alone and do it myself. I am proud to say I made 20 more jars and they all taste PERFECT, (I did a little taste test before I stuck them in the freezer just in case) so EXCITED!

My family loves loves this jam!

tooth # 2...

They are falling like leaves now!
Cole and Daddy pulled out his second tooth this month. This time took a little more planning, tools, and time!
The leatherman pictured below is the tool that has seen many of Lexi's little teeth. Cole was a little sceptical of it but determined to pull that tooth out. I think it took 7-8 pulls, Cole half way into the process sat up and said "I just need a minute" after a few deep breathes and a smile and wink from his Mom, he layed back down and out it came!
