Skate Skiing...

I went on another Play Date with my Title Nine girls last night. The Nordic Center at Bogus Basin does a "Full Moon Friday" special you get a lesson and rentals for 2 hours. We had so much fun, Skate Skiing is a tough sport but I sorta got the hang of it, and only fell, well actually just tipped over once. I had fun hanging out with all the girls from work. Another fabulous perk of working for a GREAT company. I told Dustin the whole family is gonna go next month. :-)

Maui...(part 3) stuff we did...

Where do I even start... We did so many FUN things. There are so many pictures :-)

We goofed around Dustin climbed palm trees, had a delicious chocolaty ice cream drinks, and laid in the hammock at night listening to the ocean...

Snorkeled at Honolua Bay, the best snorkeling ever, we say so so many different fish, and a sea turtle...

Laid by the pool almost everyday for a little while...

Visited a couple cool sites in West Maui, the Olivine Pools, which are natural lava swimming pools that are surrounded on three sides by the ocean. They were super cool but the ocean was so close and twice the BIG waves washed clear over the sides soaking me once fully dressed and pushing Dustin and I back as we walked from one pool to another, I was a little nervous. And then we visited the Nakalele Blowhole where the ocean runs underneath the lava rock shelf and a man-sized hole BLOWS tons of water up into the air. That is also where we found the rock with a HEART shaped rock naturally formed in it. Picture perfect, I know...

Dustin jumped off BLACK ROCK (twice) which was about a mile and a half down the beach from our hotel. He said it was about a 30 ft drop. I gladly opted out so I could get a picture...

Of course I took a million SELF portraits of Dustin and I everywhere we went.

We missed the kids so much, they secretly placed notes in our luggage before we left and we got to put them up in our room and look at them everyday. But, they had a blast spending one weekend with Grandma Arlene and Grandpa Don, the week with our great neighbors and Friends the Ranstroms, and then the last weekend with Grandpa Lane and Grandma RaNea, where they went camping at CJ Strike Reservoir and then went to the Bruneau Sand Dunes for the first time. They LOVED it and still cant stop talking about it.

GREAT TRIP!!! GOOD MEMORIES!!!

Maui... (part 2) Boogie Boarding

We rented boogie-boards from the hotel and Dustin spent a little time at every beach perfecting his skills. I however managed to get clobbered by a huge wave trying it for my first time and refused to go again the rest of the trip. But I figured out I could hold the boards and looked pretty for a picture, and I even figured out how to surf, standing on the board, none of this wimpy laying on it stuff.
First beach we hit up to board was SLAUGHTER HOUSE, and the waves were CRAZY big Dustin was getting banged around a little, so then we headed to Flemming Beach, Bob and Dustin got tons of practice there, "good waves" I guess. We went back to Flemming a second day, and then to Little Beach on the last day. Dustin got pretty good at it by the end of the trip...

Maui... (part I)

So here it is...Our official trip to Maui this year. Dustin's kind and generous boss gifted us this trip and it was FANTASTIC. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency by Kaanapali Beach, which was AWESOME! We checked in on Sunday afternoon into our corner room with an OCEAN VIEW from BOTH balconies. (first picture is the view from our room) We had swans, parrots, pink flamingos and even penguins in the hotel with us.
