Wowza! What a day!

Our family makes the most out of the Saturdays I get to skip out on work. My 13 years of retail haven't given up very many. So Dustin decides he is going to buy a us tree permit and we will have our first official "we cut the sucker down ourselves" tree. But we also want to find some snow so we can make a day of it, playing in it, playing in the snow is a Rich Family favorite. We headed up with a pot full of chili and some saltines to meet the rest of the family. After a few arguments on which way to go, and a stop to chain up Lanes tires, we made it to a little spot with lots of snow. Then we played for 3 straight hours in the snow.....so so fun.

I swear Cole went up and down the hill 100 times. Alexis was sledding down so fast, she had a ton of big wipe-outs, she just got up, smiled, and headed up again. Someone even made a little ramp and they were cruising down and catching a little air.

As always prepare for picture OVERLOAD.....

The kids made homemade snow cones, a little "white" snow and a lot of crystal lit, YUMMY!

Lane brought the four wheeler and everyone got a ride. A few pictures of the Cole catching air of the jump.

Dustin wanted to see if Cole could clear him. Yep he could!

Sled train, Grandpa Lanes idea.

Two happy kiddos, and a family Christmas tree cut down with love. We had such a good time, we are making it our new family tradition.

This is Cole's picture he did at school yesterday. I am not quite sure about all the things he is grateful for.
I love that he is grateful for crabs, and carrots. Maybe carrots were the snack in class that day, no idea where crabs came from.
Sage (our dog we had for a minute) will forever be with both kids.
And then of course his family, which I am sure the teacher inspired that one, if he had anymore fingers we may have had more of a laugh.

Dancing with Cole

I just found these pictures of Cole and Hailey having a little dance in our living room.
Cole is a little under dressed I must say, but he looks like he's still having fun.
I love that I took enough pictures to capture the whole spin move.

Winter Fun at the Ranstrom Ranch

We LOVE going to the Ranstrom Family Ranch, every year we wait (not so patiently) for our invite to our good friends and neighbors Ranch in New Meadows. The kids love to go and the secret is so do we. This year was so much fun, the snow was so so deep and the weather was perfect. The list is so long of things we get to do while we hang out for a weekend, snowmobiling, sledding behind the four wheelers, building forts, sledding off the roof of the barn, ice fishing, and snowball fights, seriously the kids can play for hours outside. Then inside we play card games, video games, watch movies, drink hot coco, and even take a dip in the hot tub. It is just SO much fun with such good FRIENDS.

This trip to the Ranch ended with a little trouble. After we had packed up all the cars and cleaned the entire place up, we went to get into our trucks and head home. We didn't get 5 feet before we realized we were not going to make it down the long driveway. Snow had drifted from the field for the last several hours and we were stuck. 2 hours, and a snow plow later we barley made it out. Such good memories here. We have so much fun every year. Thanks Ranstrom Family!
