Rich Family Reunion 2010 (tons of FUN tons of pictures)

The Reunion was in Cascade again this year, but it they rented out the big Campground right below Ken and Linda's cabin. Everyone set up tents and we camped all weekend. They built a giant slip and slide that slid right into the lake. The kids had so much fun on it, well so did the adults :) We played in the lake all day long on Friday, rode on the boat, rode jet skis, and just hung around on the beach. We chatted around the fire, played cards, and relaxed. Its always fun to catch up with everyone, that's the greatest part about reunions. Lex won the traveling trophy for CLEANEST CAMPERS cause she managed to keep her white tank top clean all weekend. She is holding the trophy below :)

GOOD STORY (long but good)
We took up a new tent that was loaned to us (with option to buy), I called it a CASTLE, cause it was four times the size of our old tent. I begged Dustin to bring it up against his better judgement. So we set it up and I was happy. The weather was great so we decided against the rain fly... well Saturday morning about 4:45am I woke up quickly to a few sprinkles so I woke Dustin and we jumped out of the tent to throw the rain fly over. So we snuggled back down into our bags, and then the wind picked up, so we crawled back out of the tent and tied down the rain fly. Its about 5am now and I settled back into my bag, Dustin headed up to the restroom. Within minutes and before Dustin was even back the wind and rain were in FULL force. Our CASTLE was being blown completely over. Before we knew it everyone was out of their tents helping us hold the CASTLE down. We woke Lex up and had her run to Grandpa and Grandma's Camper. Cole wouldn't wake up and we didn't have time to carry him so we threw him sleeping bag and all out of the tent and on to the ground. The wind was blowing so hard and the rain was coming down, he just shifted down in his bag and fell back to sleep. In fifteen minutes time we had the whole camp torn down, tents, canopy's, chairs, tables, and anything else that would blow away. We all sat huddled together under Lane's campers awning for about 20 minutes or so until the storm stopped. When it stopped we set camp back up and we were ready to start our day by 6:30am. It was crazy.... Oh and for the record we will not be buying the CASTLE, apparently the big tents blow over in the wind.
