We LOVE Christmas at the CABIN...

Our first official CHRISTMAS at the CABIN.
I cant explain how blessed I feel that this long time dream for us is really our reality. Of course we knew we wanted to spend Christmas night in our fun new place. So we packed up and headed out hoping Santa would figure out where we were :-) No worries he did. First we cut down a tree a got it put up inside, we decorated it with torn pieces of wrapping paper, a few pine cones, and some ornaments the kids made for us this year. The snow just has not come this year, and the only great thing about that is its still so cold that the river is frozen over, and with no snow to cover it, it looks like an big piece of glass was placed over the river. We walked all the way up and down it. It was so clear you could see the fish, rocks, and moving water, underneath the ice. We have great plans to buy some ice skates and enjoy this while we can. We snuggled in by the fire, burnt some cookies for Santa, watched a movie, and then headed to bed so we wouldn't the big visit. Lexi and Cole woke us up nice and early, and we opened presents and played outside some more. As I type this up it doesn't seem to be the greatest of all Christmas' but it's top in my book!

O Christmas Tree!!!!

Another year of chopping down our Christmas Tree. We found this years beauty on Thanksgiving weekend. Up high in the woods, it looked perfect and just the right size. But as we got closer it "grew" apparent we were going to have to do a partial chopping of the length. :-) Why is it that they look so small from 1/4 a mile away? Anyway ended up just perfect and it filled up the spot in the front room rather well!!!
