"Remember" Trek 2011

BEST DAD EVER!

We are so so blessed to have this unbelievable Father in our lives. The kids get so much of his time and his attention, he teaches them how to care for each other, how to work hard, how to laugh and joke, and how important his family is to him. Something special he does for them...every night as I try to quite them down and get them in to bed he is there getting them all worked up, wrestling with them or even snuggling with them, and then he tells them a different story from his childhood every nite. They cant go to sleep without hearing one.

We had a fun day, the kids woke up and fixed him pancakes, Lexi was sure his favorite were chocolate chip pancakes, Cole spelled DAD with chocolate chips, and Lexi made a HEART with chocolate chips, it made for alot of chocolate in those pancakes. They set the table all up and served him breakfast. (...turns out he doesn't like chocolate chip pancakes at all, but we haven't told the kids that yet)

Fishing with Grandpa...

Grandpa Lane took Lex and Cole to Sagehen Reservoir today to do a little fishing. I sent Lexi with the camera, and told her 30 or so times before she left, be careful with it but take a lot of pictures. She did not disappoint. They caught 13 fish between the 3 of them, Grandpa caught 4, Cole caught 5 and Lex caught 4. Lex caught the biggest so Cole counted it as 2 so she could be "tied" with him. (such a sweet brother) Lex usually out fishes everyone. They had tons of fun. Lex said Cole was king of getting his line tied up and Grandpa spent most of his time getting it undone for him. Grandpa's are the BEST!!!
