13 Years, WOWZA, Happy Anniversary!

Really has it been that long?? And I still love him with all my heart. Amazing!

Ice Fishin' with the boys...

Dustin decided to take Cole up ice fishing last Saturday with some of his buddies. They were gonna be gone all day long so I packed very very carefully for Cole making sure he had a few pairs of wool socks, his snow suit, big winter jacket, snow boots, extra pants, an extra long sleeve shirt, two pairs of gloves, and a few warm winter hats. Dustin packed the food and him and Cole made the fishing poles the night before. They were up at 5:15am and they were off, right before they hit Magic Reservoir Dustin text me that his truck read (-2) degrees. BRRRRRR. They got there and threw the first line in and Dustin caught a 3 pound trout. Didn't catch another thing ALL day long. When Cole got home he said... "I caught none fish", made me so sad. On a side note, I was so careful to pack everything for a day of cold, I forgot the sun still shines on freezing cold days and the reflection off the snow could be trouble for my little guy, and it was, he came home with the reddest face I have ever seen. He had sun blisters on his cheeks, and he was burnt, Dustin was too :-(

Winter Carnival and Ranstrom Ranch...

Another FUN time at the Ranstrom Ranch. We managed to invite ourselves one more year. We headed up on Saturday and walked around the McCall Winter Carnival for a while, checked out the ice sculptures, and played on the frozen lake. The sun was shining and it was 40 degrees, minus the wind it was an AWESOME day. Then we drove the rest of the way to the Ranch and spent the night. The snow did not disappoint, and the kids played in it both days. They found a new FASTER sledding hill, and rode snow mobiles again. We played outside with them, got in a few games of P-O-U-N-C-E, (won one, lost one) and then hurried home to watch the Superbowl.

We LOVE these trips, good memories.
